# Rename

> Rename columns.

Renames columns by `mapping`, old name to new. Columns not in the mapping keep their names and places.

## Parameters

### `mapping`

`Record<string, string>` · required · defaults to `{}`

Old column name to new. Columns absent from it keep their names and places.

## Inputs

| `on`   | `event`     | no       | Implicit on every module that does not itself start a flow: wire an event here to make this module the start of what that event runs. |
