# From table

> Turn a dataframe into a JSON of records or columns.

Turns a frame into JSON, as records or as columns. The usual way to hand tabular data to an APICall or an APIResponseOut, both of which speak JSON.

## Parameters

### `orient`

`"columns" | "records"` · required · defaults to `"records"`

Whether the JSON side is an array of row objects or an object of column arrays.

## Inputs

| `on`   | `event`     | no       | Implicit on every module that does not itself start a flow: wire an event here to make this module the start of what that event runs. |
