# Snowflake

Connect RootCause to Snowflake to import tables from any warehouse, database and schema, or query them directly.

***

### Prerequisites

* Your account identifier, for example `xy12345.us-east-1`
* A user with read access and a role that can use the warehouse
* Password, or an RSA key pair registered to the user for key-pair auth

***

### Setting up the connection

1. In the Import Manager, click the **Snowflake** card
2. Enter your connection details:

### Importing data

Browse warehouse, database, schema and table, or write a custom query. Multiple tables can be imported at once, each as its own source.

***

### Import modes

Full Import, Full Import + Live, Recent Rows, Time Period and Query Directly. Rolling windows are resolved by Snowflake. See [Connectors](/data-sources-and-connectors/connectors.md).

### Troubleshooting

**Account not found**

* Use the account identifier without `.snowflakecomputing.com`; include the region where required

**Object does not exist**

* The role in use cannot see the object; grant USAGE on warehouse, database and schema plus SELECT on the table

**Key-pair auth fails**

* Confirm the public key is registered on the user (`ALTER USER ... SET RSA_PUBLIC_KEY`) and the private key is the matching PEM
